We chose the name Mkondo because it translates to flow and this is what your practice will feel like. Viv guides you in how to move intuitively so that you are fully aligned with your breath, your body and the synchronicity between the two. When we breathe with our movements as we listen in to really try to understand our own unique way of moving, it is not only the healthiest, but you become so present that you can only attend to your own needs. You find out more about you and what works. Viv focuses around the idea that there are many ways to practice, but you can learn to customise your own by learning to tune in as you flow. Viv will show you other and easier ways to hold a pose and wants to point out that any body and every body can take this class.

If you can breathe, you can meditate. Ekhardt Tollle says so, and he is right.
Meditation and mindfulness get mixed up and so Viv starts her sessions explaining the difference between the two in a very simple way. She will guide you through a practice that is easily accessible and for every mind - even and especially, if you have never meditated or tried before. It really is not that hard - its purely practicing the practice that makes it work. You have the tools already just waiting to be tapped into. And, not unlike yoga, there are many different ways to meditate - and/or be mindful. Viv will take you through some grounding movements to begin, some body scanning, breath work, and some visual exercises. These are super easy and help to keep you in the present moment (which is really the point). Once you begin meditating, you will understand why it becomes a part of every day life.

When you arrive at Mkondo, you may spot our Finnish Infrared sauna. This new addition is now part of our daily, because we always feel rejuvenated after spending time in the beautiful oak cabin. Infrared is becoming more and more known for its healing properties. We first fell in love with the effects when we would go skiing, as we would ache a little after the slopes, but then after a session in the sauna, we were good to go again the next morning. So...we brought one to our home in Spain. Now we use it after swimming in the sea, or when coming back from a run - or just to relax.
